About our Community
Pine Meadows is an adult lifestyle community that is designed for 50+ and promotes an active, safe, healthy, and inclusive retirement lifestyle where all residents feel welcome.
The Pine Meadows Community is comprised of 213 freehold, attached bungalows that are located on Peregrine Crescent, Waterthrush Crescent, Nighthawk Crescent, Kingbird Court, and Pine Hill Drive.

The Community is surrounded by white pine forests and borders on National Capital Commission green space and multi-use trails and pathways, close to shopping, medical and dental facilities, supported by bus routes, and is ideally situated for easy access to Hwy 417 and to downtown Ottawa. Pine Meadows is also located only minutes from the Canadian Tire Centre – home of the NHL Ottawa Senators and major concert venue.
The Pine Meadows Community Association (PMCA) is incorporated under the Ontario Not For Profit Corporation Act and it's membership is comprised of homeowners within the community.
PMCA Board of Directors
The PMCA Board of Directors is comprised of, and elected by, members.
The key objectives of the Board and the community are to:
- Develop and foster a community spirit
- Promote activities that support and maintain mental and physical well-being
- Promote activities that support the cultural and social interests of the community
- Maintain the community centre as the heart of our community spirit

About our Community Center
The Pine Meadows Community Centre is located at 100 Pine Hill Drive, Ottawa, in the heart of our community.
The Community Centre is the property of the PMCA and therefore belongs to, and is for the use of, all residents.
PMCA members pay a mandatory, but modest, annual membership fee that is used for the maintenance and operation of the Community Centre, the conduct of activities and events held throughout the year, and for the publication of a community newsletter.
The Community Centre is also available to all members for private events at no cost.
Outside, the Centre boats a modest parking area, an interlock patio area with several barbeques, and a covered front porch with an exterior notice board near the upper entrance. On this notice board you will find notices, posters and flyers advertising social events.
The Community Centre itself has two floors. The Upper Level has more than 2000 square feet and is accessed via the main entrance. The Lower Level is also more than 2000 square feet and is accessed via the patio area. Each level of the Centre have handicap accessible entrance doors, a lift, and one accessible washroom.
Upstairs there is a large meeting area with a dance floor, Wi-Fi, audio-visual system, gas fireplace, two washrooms, an elevator, cloakroom and fully stocked kitchen with tablecloths, serving platters, plates, bowls, cups, glasses and cutlery for over 75 persons. There are also many card tables, larger tables and chairs. An advanced AED is located on the Upper Level. This level is used for club activities and social events, including dinners, fashion shows, games nights, happy hours, guest speaker presentations, and TekTalk workshops.

The Lower Level has an audio-visual system, Wi-Fi, dart boards a comfortable lounge area, a coffee bar with microwave and coffee machine, a storage room, two washrooms, a large cloakroom, and our "on your honour" lending library. Feel free to take a book and return it when done so that others may enjoy it as well. Any novels or non-fiction you wish to donate to our library may be left in the basket on the table near the bookshelves. Our dedicated, volunteer librarians will sort and re-shelve books once per week.

Buyers Package
When you buy a home in Pine Meadows, our friendly Welcome Coordinator will contact you to schedule a Welcome Information Session at which time you will receive a Welcome Manual and a tour of the Community Centre.
At the Welcome Information Session you will be required to sign the Application for Membership that designates one member per household as the PMCA member. You will also acknowledge the requirement to abide by the Bylaws and Policies and Procedures that govern the Association, and of the requirement to pay annual membership dues.

Sellers Package
If you are thinking of selling your home, it is important that you contact the Welcome Coordinator for a Community Information Package: this package contains a new fact sheet entitled “Value-Added Features Pine Meadows Community Association” and other important information that will be helpful to your real estate agent.
It is also important that you provide your real estate lawyer with a copy of the PMCA Bylaws, as well as information regarding the PMCA annual fee that is payable on 1 September of each year. This will ensure that any paid portion owed to you is included in the sale Statement of Adjustments. If your lawyer has any questions, feel free to contact the PMCA Treasurer using our

Once the sale is final, please provide information on the closing date and the names of the new residents to the Welcome Committee; this is helpful in planning the Welcome Information Session for the new owners.
Prior to your departure, be sure to return your Community Centre access key-card to the Welcome Coordinator.
